Half blind and reeling from the punishment raining down from Herol Graham, Julian Jackson was moments away from losing his middleweight title when he delivered the best one-shot knockout in the history of boxing:
Graham (dark shorts) was unconscious before he hit the mat and it took five whole minutes to revive him. I can only imagine that’s what getting hit by a comet would feel like. Thankfully, he suffered no permanent damage from the bout. Check out a video of that savage right hand with commentary – even the announcers are shocked:
Oh no! That’s what we were worried about. He won’t get up from that.
Biggest shot I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen boxing over the years…but nothing like that.
The fight had to be moved outside of the UK to Spain because the British Boxing Board of Control wouldn’t allow Jackson (yellow shorts) to compete in the UK due to retina damage he had sustained in an earlier fight that required surgery.
Turns out you only need one eye, and one punch, to get the job done.
