RUMOUR: Immortals Leak Plans To Pinch Cloud 9’s Support

It’s been too long since the last NA LCS roster leak – sadly Doublelift has put his streaming antics on standby to pursue his goal of clean sweeping the summer split – he always was a selfish player. An unlikely source of drama, C9 support Michael “Bunny FuFuu” Kurylo received an intriguing in game message from Immortals team manager Jun “Dodo8” Kang whilst casually streaming to an audience of 10k viewers. Lets get the gears at the rumour mill churning…

The timing is certainly suspicious, as Dodo could hardly have picked a worse time to message Bunny FuFuu, as the Thresh specialist racked up his highest ever viewer count moments prior to the suspected leak. The Immortals team manager directly asks Bunny when he’s moving into ‘the house’, to which Bunny immediately panics and informs him that he’s streaming – Dodo simply responds with an ‘oh shit’. This exchange lasted a matter of seconds as Bunny then spams the in game messages in an attempt to hide the chat.

Of course, at this stage IMT Bunny FuFuu is just an intriguing rumour and given the cast involved, there’s a strong possibility that it could be a spicy troll. Yet, there are certainly theories that would support the prospect of Immortals picking up C9 current starting support.

Adrian “Adrian” Ma, IMT’s current support is primarily a ranged mage specialist, whereas Bunny opts to play tanky engage champs like Alistar, Shen, Braum, and Thresh. Picking him up as a secondary support or as a substitute player would certainly be a smart move on paper, in the eventuality that the meta shifts or if they want to open up more team comps and strategies for the team.

The second – far more likely possibilty – is that Immortals are in the process of pushing their own NACS team with Bunny starring in the roster. A move to the Challenger Series sounds far more likely, given that it would be outright insane to drop Adrian right now. Adrian, never one to shy away from trolling his followers, quickly posted on Twitter – having done this troll before, it’s probably safe to say that Bunny is not going to replace him.

There doesn’t seem to be any chance of Adrian getting kicked from the roster… this tweet from Dodo8 would have been particularly #savage if he was:

Given Adrian’s consistently strong performances, it was always going to be a hard sell to suggest that he would lose his starting spot to Bunny FuFuu. If Dodo8’s stream leak proves anything, it’s may have legitimately confirmed plans for an Immortals Challenger team next season.
