WATCH: NFL player’s gold chain snatched on live TV

If you thought shooting himself in the leg during preseason would be the most asinine thing Aqib Talib would do all season, you’re wrong, because he really tried to snatch Michael Crabtree’s chain when the Broncos and Raiders met. Ripped that sucker right in half. The ultimate disrespect.

If you’re like me, you like when the game gets chippy. A little bad blood makes for an exciting watch. But this goes too far. Hats off (or chains) to Michael Crabtree for keeping it 100 in his postgame interview.

What you want me to do? I can’t react, they gon’ kick me out, then I’m the bad guy. Make a business decision, you know. Whatever for my team.

Michael Crabtree

On the flip side of the coin, you have habitual provocateur Talib. Here are his postgame comments.

He just been wearing that chain all year, man, and it’s just been growin’ on me so I said if he wear it in front of me, I’ma snatch it off. So he wore it in front of me so I had to snatch it off.

Aqib talib

I get that Alib Talib wants to act hard and set the tone, but you can do that without looking like an asshat.

You snatchin’ chains on the field, like what you accomplish? You hard? You tough? That make you tough? You snatch a chain in front of the police and take off running. Childish, man.

Michael Crabtree

Take Steve Smith. He’s hard as a motherfucker. Never took shit from anyone – on the field or off – for 16 years in the NFL. Including from yours truly, Aqib Talib.

Steve Smith, like Michael Crabtree, handled the postgame interview after this incident like a G. For real, Steve Smith is colder than a witch’s tit.

Full 30 second interview below for context:

Playing in the NFL mandates a certain disposition. You can’t be a pussy and everybody’s a little crazy. But if you’re gonna be all the way the fuck out there, do it like Steve Smith, not Aqib Talib.
