We’ve all watched Johnny Manziel’s fall from grace. Mostly known for his flashy play on the field and even flashier party lifestyle, Johnny definitely has had a whirlwind career filled with controversy ever since he’s been in the NFL. Well, after some soul searching it seems like the ex-NFL quarterback and Heisman trophy winner is ready for a come back & is starting with an apology.

Johnny Manziel is championing the sentiment of “New Year, New Me” as he’s taken to his Twitter to let his 1.72 million followers that his focus this year is becoming a better person and starting it with an apology. Earlier yesterday there was a rumor circulating that he’d be charging $50 for selfies at the Superbowl. Johnny Football took to twitter to clear the air:

Let’s be honest, Johnny’s douchiest moments weren’t just in 2016, he’s been douching things up on a large scale since he left his alma-mater Texas A&M. Starting with his money phone video:

Flipping off the opposing team’s bench (on live television) because they were saying “really mean things” to him:

His incessant partying (and alleged drug use) that has landed him in rehab, kicked off his Cleveland Browns team, contributed to loss of endorsement deals, management team and well… any and every other potential income coming his way.

After Johnny’s apology, he took it a step further and confirmed he’s looking to make an NFL comeback, captaining an old Texas A&M photo simply with “ComebackSZN.”

No word on whether NFL teams are ready to risk it for Johnny Football but if he’s actually serious about being the better person he’s trying to be, all I’ll say is everyone loves a good comeback story.
