Bruised and battered: The Premiership XV of the season

The Premiership is drawing to a close, and my word, it has been some season. The ever so consistent Saracens have continued to be competitive despite a busy calender, but the stand out side has to be Wasps, who look like something back to their best… maybe that move was a good idea after all.

Following a slow start to life this season after the brilliant campaign Exeter had last year, the Chiefs have had a fine few months and are finishing this season in outstanding form. The final fourth spot looks a dead certainty for Leicester Tigers, as Todd Blackadder’s, Bath have had an indifferent couple of months which has seen their form dropped off.

With the brilliance of Wasps this season making them the stand out side, there’s no surprise that they dominate the XV team of the season:

What a season it has been. The play-offs look set to be as competitive as ever, and this weekend could prove descisive to determine which teams play at home; the big advantage when looking back at previous sides success.

With Saracens half eye on the Champions Cup, and Wasps brilliance this season, we can’t see past Dai Young’s not losing out on the title this Premiership season.
