Scott Dixon, poll man hours earlier at the Indianapolis 500, was robbed at gunpoint at a Taco Bell in Indianapolis. You read that right (more details  on the crime below). Unfortunately, he’s not the only one to make SportsCenter for the wrong reason. These guys had it even worse:

As Dixon, his wife, and Dario Franchitti were waiting in the drive-thru, two men approached the vehicle and stuck a gun in the window. They made off with Dixon’s wife’s purse on foot. Interestingly, both he and Franchitti were wearing luxury watches, which the teenage robbers didn’t take.

A suspicious vehicle was later spotted nearby, and officers suspected the driver picked up his two accomplices in the theft. This turned out to be the case, and the robbers were captured after a brief chase. Dixon’s wife’s wallet was recovered.

“It was definitely shocking, disbelief for the most part.”

Also notable: He had planned on getting a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, per Fox 59. It’s unclear whether he followed through.
