England’s summer tour has already thrown up an incredibly exciting encounter as the Red Rose saw off a spirited Argentina side 38-34 at the weekend.
The Pumas have clearly been benefitting from their introduction into the competition formerly known as the Tri-Nations and they displayed this continued improvement by running Eddie Jones’ side very close.
For England though, they will take both the actual win and the moral victory as so many young players featured prominently across the 80 minutes due to injuries and the Lions tour taking many of their established players.
Their presence was felt so much so that we feel it prudent to highlight the men that will surely feature in England’s senior team in the years to come:
It is an incredibly promising time in English rugby. The landscape ahead is one of pace, power and sporting excellence. So many of these players are obviously still in their infancy, but this time with the national team, Eddie Jones and some of the first team players will be vital to their development.
It may be too much to ask for all 10 players to make it into the side for the upcoming autumn internationals, but this time in the sun against an up-and-coming Argentina side will reveal their character and ability, something that Eddie Jones has been building with the national team since he was installed as manager.
