It takes quite a career to gain entry into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Just getting on the ballot is a feat considering the names that are immortalized in Cooperstown. That said, fans, voters and players do not always agree on what is and isn’t a Hall of Fame resume.
While the Baseball Writers’ Association of America and the Veterans Committee have done a commendable job in most cases, there are a small group of players who likely feel otherwise. These ten players, who are no longer on the BBWA ballot, definitely have a bone to pick with the voters:
While these ten players certainly have strong cases, this list will likely include even bigger stars in just a few years. Unless voters have a change of heart regarding performance-enhancing drugs, superstars like Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Alex Rodriguez will be joining them soon.
