When a car can outpace the reactions and thought process of the human being inside, it potentially saves lives and brings out the “point of singularity” doomsayers.¬†

In the video below, you can clearly hear an alarm that slams the brakes automatically before the crash ahead has even occurred. The intelligent vehicle detects the slight drift of the car ahead and anticipates a collision.

Luckily nobody was injured in the crash, but the video does highlight the capability of such technologies, that go beyond human ability and reaction speeds. Comments on Youtube by the observing bags of flesh were mixed Рsome defending technology, others fearful:

“Today predicts a crash, tomorrow fucks your wife.”

Next week it steals your family and job, then fucks your wife again.

“This car is very aware.”

Which is the point we guess. Self-awareness would be a different scenario altogether though, like a less homoerotic version of 80’s TV Series Knight Rider.

“The car detected a dumbass. Sorry to say ALOT of you are in trouble now.”

It’s hard to argue with this…

“Amazing, but this will turn into some skynet type shit in the near future where the cars kill us all by crashing on purpose.”

When the first locomotives were introduced, people genuinely believes that their bodies would explode if they traveled over 20mph…

“Fucking. People. On. The. Other. Side. Slowing. Down. To. Watch.”

At least an automated Tesla wouldn’t bring out the tasteless, gawping side of humanity.
