Fight Breaks Out Between Jimenez and Bradley

World Golf Championships-Cadillac Match Play - Round Two

Finally some real drama played out on the PGA TOUR when seasoned veteran Miguel Angel Jimenez, the creepy yet affable Spaniard, got into a scuffle with American Keegan Bradley during their Friday match at TPC Harding Park.

Everything seemed to be going rosy until the two players reached the 18th hole and Bradley yanked his drive into a TV tower.  Bradley took a free drop after consulting a rules official.

Jimenez apparently got over-sensitive in the moment and disagreed with how Bradley was taking the drop. What happened next could only be described as bizarre.

Bradley’s caddie, Steve Hale, seemed to mock Jimenez with a fake Spanish accent.

“You want to delay this some more,” he said to Jimenez.

Jimenez then told him to shut up and as my friend often says, “sh** hit the fan”.

Bradley got all up in Jimenez’s face and appeared to stand up for his caddie, either supporting his fake Spanish accent or fearing that Miguel was about to land a punch.

Jimenez went on to win the match, but Bradley seemed rattled when he was interviewed by media after.

“I felt like he was being disrespectful not only to me but my caddie,” he said. “I was kind of standing up for my boy here. I have nothing but respect for him. He’s a great player out here. But I have to be able to stick up for myself when I feel something is wrong.”
