As a celebration of Michael Jordan’s well-known passion for golf, Jordan Brand unveiled Monday its newest retail golf shoe in over a decade: the Jordan Flight Runner Golf.
In case you didn’t know, Keegan Bradley has been getting fit with Jordan Brand golf shoes the past few seasons. These new sneaks are meant for amateurs. The new footwear will be an adaptation of the popular Jordan Flight Runner 2 trainer shoe, according to Nike’s press release.
“The Jordan Flight Runner Golf is the perfect combination of Jordan and Nike innovation coupled with Michael’s love for the game of golf,” said Larry Miller, President, Jordan Brand. “This is the same formula that helped us create some of the most iconic shoes over the past thirty years and we are excited to bring Jordan Brand energy to the golf course.”
This shoe, which will not look much like the Jordan Brand shoes Bradley has sported around Tour, will incorporate “mesh and synthetic materials with Nike Flywire on the upper” and will look similar to other variations of Nike golf footwear seen within the Tiger Woods franchise.
The shoes will be available in limited release later this month in both black and grey on Jordan.com.
