June 23rd happens to be Olympic Day, held annually to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of the modern games on June 23, 1894 (this year marks the 121st such anniversary).

Golf’s re-introduction as an Olympic sport is now just 409 days away. In honor of Olympic Day, we decided it’s the perfect time to take a look at what the men’s and women’s fields would look like if the Rio 2016 games started now.

The United States would be represented on the men’s side by Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson and Jim Furyk. The women’s side would feature Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, Lexi Thompson and Kristie Kerr.

Both the men’s and women’s fields will include a maximum of 60 players each. A maximum of four players per country is permitted, and every player inside the top 15 in the world rankings as of July 2016 will be eligible. After that, the field will be filled by the next highest-ranked golfers, with a max of two players per nation.
