The RICOH Women’s British Open will make its return to Turnberry Resort for this year’s fourth major championship and Mo Martin will be looking to regain some good form to defend her title.
Mo Martin took home her first ever major championship last year with a cracking 3 wood shot on the 18th hole which bounced off the flag, setting her up for an eagle putt, and leaving her with the clubhouse lead.
Since her first-career win in Southport a year ago, Martin hasn’t been able to follow up her major breakthrough and was hindered by a thumb injury shortly afterward. This season, she has one top 10 finish, but has missed four cuts in 18 starts.
Is she on form enough to take home another championship win?
With the Rolex Rankins No. 1 Inbee Park on serious form, it looks like she will be the one to beat this week.
Park is also on track for a Career Grand Slam and has two shots at this summer and could become just the seventh woman in history to achieve the feat.
