The latest horrific attempt at relating to us involves the man who was raised from the crumbs of Walkers’ very own cheese & onion, Gary Lineker, and Barcelona’s superstar, Lionel Messi.

Give the past and present Barcelona pair’s cringe-inducing advert a watch below:

Awful, wasn’t it(?)

The problem Walkers now have with their adverts, is that no matter how elaborate, viral and/or entertaining their 30-second clips are, we are all just going: ‘Well, their crisps aren’t that big. And they certainly aren’t that crunchy. Ha! I haven’t seen a bag of crips that full since 1997.’

So, Messi’s incredible footwork with a table-top footballer will forever be overshadowed by a potato-based web of lies!

I wouldn’t mind if these adverts involving footballers were actually half entertaining or remotely clever (nothing will ever top Frank Lampard’s one for boredom):

I’ve got to admit, though, that Lampard advert does get me all the time ? The Manchester City legend sounds like he is giving a stadium safety announcement.

Oh, sod it; I’m on a roll now. Remember these?

CR7, YOU’RE BETTER THAN THAT!

10 points to Hufflepuff if anyone can work out what the hell the Real Madrid star is advertising

WHO AN EARTH GULPS THAT LOUD?!
