Old Trafford’s South Stand is set to be renamed after Manchester United great, Sir Bobby Charlton, as the Red Devils try to remind people that they actually used to be good.
Charlton is one of the finest players to ever pull on the red of United, and is the club’s all-time record goalscorer – although Wayne Rooney is edging ever closer to that record with every pre-match Big Mac.
The South Stand will officially be renamed on 2nd April when Everton are the visitors to Old Trafford, so there’s plenty of time for Manchester United to change their mind on whom they will name the stand after.
The best part about the Urguayan striker’s awful stint with the Red Devils is that he went on to become one of the most feared marksmen in football with Villarreal and Atletico Madrid.
The South African international failed to make the grade at Tottenham Hotspur before being signed by Fergie from Atletico Madrid’s ‘B’ Team. Crazy that Fortune wasn’t a success given the CV he had.
Take a look at the highlight of Quinton’s Manchester United career; a shit Dad joke.
The man with a LinkedIn profile that no doubt reads: “Don’t you know who my dad is?”
Fergie really has awful taste in leaving gifts, as it’s a close toss up between the winger of David Moyes at which one was the worst.
Sadly, the South Stand would regularly be shut in order to make repairs
