WATCH: A Malaysian footballer’s physics-defying Puskás Award contender

Perhaps you’ve never heard of the Malaysian Super League, Penang FA or Pahang FA, but in this case, it doesn’t matter. So long as you recognize a beautiful goal when you need one, you’ll be stunned into awed silence when you watch this free kick by 28-year old Penang FA midfielder Mohd Faiz Dubri. The shot comes in at 40 yards from the field’s left side but gains a life of its own and miraculously swerves to the top right corner and hits the goal posts at the perfect angle. Many have already dubbed it a FIFA Puskás Award contender and we have to say, we agree.

Oh, and as you’d expect, Penang ended up winning 4-1.
