- Jordan Spieth and his caddie have a great relationship
- The two goof off at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week
Jordan Spieth and his caddie, Michael Greller, have a seriously special bond. Greller has been there for Spieth since he was an amateur, quitting his teaching job to become his full time caddie when he wen’t pro. It was clearly a great decision, since Greller has made more money as a caddie than a lot of the guys actually playing golf on tour.
This week, they are back on tour playing at Pebble Beach, after a few weeks off for Spieth to rejuvenate. This tournament always has a loose, fun vibe that goes along with it and that means for the caddies too! There is a lot of pressure on caddies to be confident and lead their golfers without hesitation. That doesn’t leave a lot of room for relaxation.
Well not here. Here it seems like the whole team is relaxed. Greller was given the chance to play one of the most famous holes in the world earlier this week. Pebble Beach’s par-3 7th hole is as famous as it is beautiful, which is the complete opposite of Greller’s shot. Greller shanks the ball in front of a crowd and the No. 1 golfer in the world.
What’s worse than a shank at Pebble?…

It’s good to see Jordan letting loose and having some laughs. Greller didn’t mind. He got to play a shot at a beautiful location, and make his partner in crime laugh out loud. Amazing stuff!
