Jordan Spieth went into the second round of the Northern Trust Open at +8, with a 79. That’s the third worst score the No.1 player in the world has ever produced.

But don’t you worry, one thing you can be sure of is that Jordan Spieth will not go down without a fight. Spieth made an eight-shot improvement today on Riviera’s back nine, resting at a sweet -3.

It hasn’t been easy, but I doubt that’s what Jordan would want. He was probably beating himself up for his awful round all night and wanted to prove to himself that no matter the conditions today, he was going to make a comeback. And that’s what he’s doing, even if he doesn’t make the cut today.
