- Rory McIlroy hit a fan with a wayward tee shot yesterday at Riviera
- He apologized by giving the fan a signed glove
Rory McIlroy is know for being one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour. Nobody even blinks at his 300+ drives anymore because they’re so common. He is still extremely exciting to watch, and the fans truly love him for everything they can’t do. I think Rory was feeling that love because his ball seemed to be attracted to the fans, rather than the greens.
Yesterday, McIlroy’s wayward tee shot hit into the crowd of people and hit a man! To apologize Rory signed his glove with “sorry” written on it, and gave it directly to the fan. Let’s just say the guy shrugged off the pain and graciously accepted the glove.

There is no possible way to hate this guy. A true gentleman playing the gentleman’s game.
