Harry Kane has proven himself to be a two-season wonder but it is the pleasantly surprising, record-breaking season that Jamie Vardy has had in front of the goal which will have Roy Hodgson doing the ‘dab’. The Foxes striker, who managed five goals in 34 Premier League appearances last season, has 22 and counting so far this campaign. Hopefully, this will see clubs give homegrown players a greater chance at first-team football.

English strikers like Crystal Palace’s (currently) underwhelming Connor Wickham should certainly take huge positives from 29-year-old Vardy’s remarkable season and realise that it could be them next time.

West Ham to be part of the Premier League title race

Tottenham Hotspur being the closest rivals to Leicester winning the league is a sentence no one ever expected to write, especially with less than 5 games left of the current campaign.

For years the Hammers have been a delusional bunch, trying to kid themselves that Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are their direct rivals, when it’s really the likes of Millwall and QPR. However, the aforementioned trio may well start to take more notice of the claret and blue Irons once they move to the Olympic Stadium, with that gift from the people of Great Britain meaning that the Hammers can kick on and start dining at the big boys table regularly.

Andrew Surman to be selected for England

Having last represented the Three Lions in 2009 with the Under-19’s, Danny Drinkwater probably didn’t hold out too much hope for bagging a full England cap.

Bournemouth’s Andrew Surman, like the Cherries squad and Eddie Howe in general, haven’t had the plaudits they deserve due to the fairytale story of Leicester. But if Roy Hodgson were to stop with his ‘big club, big players’ selection policy, Surman could well be given that chance on the international stage he probably deserves.

Arsenal To Be In A Relegation Battle

It’s a rare occasion in football when the majority of fans unite. However, everyone except Chelsea fans will agree that the Blue struggles this season have been absolutely magical.

The problem is, Antonio Conte’s new side will be back bigger and better next season and this campaign – that threatened relegation at one point – will be nothing but a fond memory for us all to remember.

Chelsea’s struggles have been dramatic but all of the ‘elite’ clubs have struggled, with the league becoming more of a ‘top 20’ rather than a ‘top four’.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal utopian world is on its knees and next season, with Le Professeur’s stubbornness seemingly unwavering, it could very well see the final foundations of everything Wenger built come crashing down in spectacular fashion.

John O’Shea And Wes Brown The Best Defensive Partnerships

Lol. As if John O’Shea pulled off that chip.

Anyway, Robert Huth has hardly been a legendary Premier League defender during his spells with Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Stoke City. However, this season, alongside captain Wes Morgan, Huth has helped form a brilliant partnership.

If Sunderland are to avoid relegation this season, what’s to say that John O’Shea and Wes Brown can’t be the next bang average central defensive duo to play above their station?!

The unpredictability of this season is just hard to process. You think it has reached its peak and then something even more ‘wtf’ will happen.

Would it be totally ridiculous to consider the fact that the Foxes might return to the ones that came so close to relegation last season? Probably not.
