Liverpool are reportedly interested in acquiring U.S. striker Bobby Wood.

The club sent a scout to check up on their man Taiwo Awoniyi who is on loan with FSV Frankfurt, but came back gushing about Bobby Wood, who scored twice against FSV Frankfurt.

Wood, 23, has scored 14 goals in 25 games for Union Berlin in the German second division after transferring from 1860 Munich last year.

His play of late has a lot of people watching. Jürgen Klinsmann tapped him for this weekend’s USA – Guatemala World Cup qualifier and he will almost certainly figure into the Copa America this June.
