It has been slightly disappointing to see so many top players duck out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. If you consider Tiger Woods made the effort every year between 1997-2013, you start to see the importance people should be placing on this tournament. Tiger has also appeared in Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial tournament 15 times. Jordan Spieth has never played in Palmer’s tournament and has appeared in Jack’s just twice. Are we to assume attending two out of eight tournaments is a sign that these guys don’t care as much anymore?

Granted Tiger’s record kept him coming back; 8 wins in 16 appearances is unheard of! G.O.A.T used to eat Bay Hill for breakfast.
