Jason Day Injures Himself At The WGC-Dell Match Play

Jason Day has just come off of a big win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week and is pushing himself to keep that streak going. He won his first match today at the WGC-Dell Match Play against Graeme McDowell, 3-2.

Before he won though, he hit a monster drive on hole 5, driving the green 370 yards. Then on hole 16, Day was still going in hot with his driver until he dropped his club on the follow through and grabbed his back.

Jason Day has had back problems on the course before, along with vertigo. This, however, looked pretty bad and he struggled on the last few holes because he was in pain. He denied the post-round interview to seek treatment ASAP.

With the Masters coming up, I’m hoping this back problem isn’t too serious. Day is already missing numerous tournaments to spend time with his family. Hopefully he won’t have to miss more due to an injury!

He must be taking his talks with Tiger Woods a little too seriously.

Praying this won't be Day!
