Major League Soccer is growing in reputation and following with every passing fixture, as America looks to give MLS a respectable platform – continuing to sign players like Sebastian Giovinco, a footballer in his prime, will help the case no end.

Although the coverage has increased within the United Kingdom and American ‘soccer’ is growing in popularity over here, MLS is clearly going to have a tougher job cracking its own population.

Following Leicester City’s remarkable Premier League achievement, which was confirmed when Tottenham Hotspur went full ‘Spurs’ against Chelsea and blew a two-goal lead, a Sports Center host believed that it was in fact the Tottenham fans celebrating a league title.
 


 
Sadly for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, it’s 55 years and (still) counting since a league title resided in the trophy cabinet at White Hart Lane. And you have to wonder if they’ve blown their best ever chance at ending that painfully long run.
