Everyone knows Argentinians are an animated bunch, but Diego Simeone takes it to a whole ‘nother level.

He might just be…

The Angriest Man In Sports

Watch as the Atlético Madrid manager punches a member of his own coaching staff during the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich:

If you think this is the first time that Simeone has acted out on the sidelines, you’re sadly mistaken.

Check out this clip from 2014 where he slaps a linesman:

Here, he has to be physically restrained from going after Raphaël Varane. It takes most of Atlético’s training staff to subdue Simeone:

How did he get so angry?

Simeone was a prolific footballer in his younger days before becoming a manager.

When he was 14, his coach nicknamed him Cholo after Argentine international and Boca Juniors player Carmelo Simeone (no relation) because the younger Simeone’s tenacious style of play closely resembled his elder counterpart, who was known as Cholo.

Simeone was capped over 100 times for Argentina and represented his country in the 1994, 1998, and 2002 World Cups.

In the ’90s, he represented a host of top European clubs, from Pisa and Inter in Serie A to Sevilla and Atlético in La Liga.

He was part of the 1995-1996 Atlético squad that won the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey.

He was playing in Europe as late as 2005. After that season, Simeone returned to Argentina, where he played for Racing Club from 2005-2006 before becoming their manager in 2006.

From there, he bounced around Argentina, managing a number of different clubs before landing at Atlético in 2011.

Somewhere along the way, he got angry…
