Manchester United In Danger Of Setting Dastardly Record

Manchester United, one of the proudest clubs on the planet, is in danger of sinking to new low.

If they lose this weekend, they will finish the season with their lowest ever Premier League points total.

In the three years since Sir Alex Ferguson has left, the club has taken a nosedive.

Under Ferguson’s watchful gaze, United never finished lower than third. They literally won the league more often than not with SAF at the helm.

In SAF’s final 8 seasons, Man United never finished with fewer than 80 points. The club won the Premier League and finished with 89 points after the 2012-2013 season – SAF’s last as skipper.

After the 2013-2014 season – the first season without SAF – they were only able to muster 64 points in the Premier League and finished in a disappointing 7th place. Pretty sure you don’t get Champions League for 7th place…

While many United supporters viewed that season as a low point, this current season may see the club hit a new bottom.

This bad news is par for the course for Red Devils supporters, who haven’t had a lot to smile about lately.

Manchester United supporter “’79seconds” summed up how a lot fans were feeling when they learned that this could literally be United’s worst season ever:

“I DROPPED MY BREAKFAST ON THE SIDEWALK AND NARROWLY ESCAPED A HOMELESS MAN’S URINE, SO THIS FITS RIGHT IN WITH MY MORNING”

Other fans lamented Fergie’s departure as well:

“I SWEAR SAF LEAVING MAN UTD IS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL [LOSSES] ON A TEAM I’VE EVER SEEN. LET’S HOPE ARSENAL DOESN’T GO THIS WAY…”

Rainbow Flick, Man United fan

Perhaps “frankowen18” had the most insightful observation about the current state of Manchester United and its management:

“WHAT IS THE ‘RIGHT MANAGER’, WHAT DOES ‘RIGHT MANAGER’ EVEN MEAN? IT’S FUCKING NONSENSE.”

“FERGIE WAS THE ‘RIGHT MANAGER’ BECAUSE HE WAS A FUCKING WINNER. HE WON STUFF. HE HAD THAT MENTALITY.”

United better get it right soon because mediocrity does not sit well with the fans.
