The Europa League Final defeat to Sevilla brought down the curtain on Liverpool’s season, a season that has seen them finish 8th in the Premier League and take the runner-up spot in the League Cup.

Following the 3-1 defeat to the La Liga outfit, in a game in which they took the lead, Reds fans took to the streets of Anfield to celebrate the club’s last league title in 1990.

Merseyside was awash with a sea of red as the Liverpool fans partied long into the evening as they remembered the era of John Barnes, Alan Hansen and Ian Rush and celebrated missing out on European football for another season.

“What a season for our boys. Jurgen Klopp has guided us to eighth and we won the league in 1990”

Every delusional Liverpool fan

Early rumours suggest that next season will be Liverpool’s, however, fans aren’t convinced they will ever be able to top this current campaign despite the fact they finished below Leicester City, West Ham and Southampton.
