Welsh FA Exploring Possibility Of Selecting Raheem Sterling For Wales

The Welsh Football Association have today revealed they’re looking for a loophole that would allow them to call up Raheem Sterling for the rest of Euro 2016.

“Raheem’s performance for us against England was superb.”

“He was ineffective and a huge hinderance to the Three Lions.”

“It’s no surprise he was named Wales’ Man Of The Match.”

Welsh FA Spokesperson

After putting in a performance that resembled a three-legged zebra against Russia, England fans pleaded with part-owl, part-man, Roy Hodgson, to not select the £49million Scott Sinclair replacement at Manchester City. However, Sterling still started the game against Gareth Bale and 10 other lucky Welsh fans who won a competition.

With the rumours of Wales’ interest in Sterling, Roy Hodgson has come out and spoken about the possibility of losing the former Liverpool winger.

“Well, that’s a surprise. And not because I didn’t think he’d be able to represent another country due to having played for us, more because there’s actually another nation out there that wants him.”

“I really want to become best friends with Pep Guardiola, so I was going to select Sterling in every single England XI, even though I’ve seen a blind badger with a better touch. So I’ll be slightly gutted to see him go.”

“I suppose I’ll have to start playing Fabian Delph – was gutted he got injured.  Or what about Richard Wright? Is he still at City/alive?”

Raheem was due to host a press conference regarding the Welsh rumours, however, that has been delayed due to the winger being unable to get past the man on the door.
