6 quality Premier League stars that need saving

The Premier League clubs are enjoying themselves, this summer. And, for once, it’s all of them. The new TV rights deal means Christmas has come early, and all 20 teams are going through the transfer market like us 90s kid went through the Argos catalogue in December.

With Bournemouth bidding £15million on Jordon Ibe, Newcastle United spending bucket loads in the Championship, Sadio Mane moving to Southampton for £35million and Norwich City pricing Robbie Brady at £20million, value in the market no longer exists.

Given the lack of value, clubs would be best off looking at proven talent, that has somewhat stalled, and give them a platform to thrive, again.

Wilfried Bony

25 goals in 43 Premier League starts for Swansea City, was enough for Manchester City to part with £25million. However, it hasn’t quite worked out for the Ivory Coast international at the Etihad.

Whether his failure is down to being in a team that expects more than just sitting in front of the goal, from him. Or whether he’s just not an cutout for an elite club, remains to be seen. But he’s certainly worth a gamble at, what, £15-20million?

Potential suitor: Everton should move for Bony when Lukaku leaves to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Theo Walcott

Mad to think Walcott has been at Arsenal over a decade, is the Gunners’ current-longest-serving player and yet we are still waiting for the 16-year-old from Southampton to reach his full potential.

A fresh start, away from the cauldron of hate that is the Emirates Stadium, will do Theo wonders.

Potential suitor: Liverpool

DeAndre Yedlin

Pochettino isn’t really one to freshen things up, and when Kyle Walker, England’s best player at Euro 2016, is ahead of you in the pecking order, your future at White Hart Lane probably isn’t looking too rosy.

Yedlin proved a valuable asset for Sunderland, so can clearly cut it in the Premier League.

Potential suitor: Any stable – yet stalled – Premier League club (Stoke).

Memphis Depay

What Jose Mourinho has planned for the Dutch international remains to be seen. But if those plans are to be away from Old Trafford, then Depay deserves one more crack of the whip in the Premier League.

Clearly a talented individual, just disillusioned by the lifestyle that comes with being a footballer for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Potential suitor: Slaven Bilic would get him into shape at West Ham.

Victor Moses

Okay, so it hasn’t quite worked out for Moses since his surprising move to Chelsea. Failed loan spells at Liverpool and West Ham prove that he’s not a ‘top half’ player. However, his time with Wigan proved he has his uses.

Potential suitor: Any of the promoted clubs.

Enner Valencia

Don’t really know about this one. But surely someone in the Prem has a use for his absolute screamers? It’s all Valencia deals in.

Potential suitor: Swansea City
