2014, Champions League Final: Real Madrid are 1-0 down against Atletico Madrid in injury time; arise Sergio Ramos. The defender popped up to level the game in which Real would go on to win and seal their ‘La Decima’.

2016, Champions League Final: Ramos is the scorer of Real Madrid’s goal, bags a penalty in Real’s shootout win.

2016, UEFA Super Cup: Real are 2-1 down against Sevilla at 90+3 minutes. And, yep, you’ve guessed it, Sergio Ramos pops up to level the game in which Madrid win in Extra-Time.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, Ramos was also awarded Man of the Match in every single one of these games.

Sergio Ramos pedigree is simply stunning. For a centre-back to come up with such huge goals makes him the ‘King of Europe’.

Ramos has also recently been tipped to play the next villain in the new James Bond.

Not only is he ‘King of Europe’, the Spanish international also has one of the most decorated international careers. The ‘Los Blancos’ captain boasts 136 caps for Spain, at just 30, whilst also adding one World Cup and two European Championships to his CV.

Sure, like us all, he has his critics. I mean, he has an inexcusable 21 red cards to his name at Madrid – probably not something worth showing off about. But it is this tenacity and ferocity that he brings to his play which makes him the best centre-back to ever grace the beautiful game.

Keep it up boss man…
