Rashford Set to Replace French Star in United Starting XI

Manchester United last season was the story of two youngsters: Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford. The bright spots in an incredibly underwhelming season for the Red Devils. The fans were given hope for the future, a light at the end of the van Gaal tunnel, and provided optimism for what was one the shittiest seasons in recent memory.

Fast forward, Manchester United have a squad that can compete with the best in the Premier League and are looking dangerous despite the recent slip up in the Manchester Derby.

Paul Pogba really needs to get his shit together, but other than that, United’s looking like a title contender.

But the recent development in the team sheet is the choice between Rashford or Martial.

To begin the season, Martial was the starter, but the Frenchman has been severely out of form.

Gervinho in an Arsenal jersey bad.

The taste of marmalade bad.

Martial was all out of sorts at this summer’s edition of the Euros and hasn’t regained his ability to play football and should be replaced by Rashford.

The young English international is full of confidence, pace, and smarter than Martial on the ball.

He knows when to possess and isn’t so one directional. He looks to do other things than use his pace.

Fortunately for Martial, he won’t be iced out like Memphis Depay or Bastian Schweinsteiger and will be allowed to play out of this slump under Mourinho.

He should be taken out of the starting XI to get his head straight, and if Henrikh Mkhitaryan fails to produce his Dortmund form, then his return to the field could come sooner than later.

The fearlessness of Rashford should be exploited by Mourinho to build the confidence of the lad as he will leading the line for years to come.

Martial will regain his form and become the class player United bought last season.

United better hope that their overpriced midfielder will pay more attention to playing than dabbing and haircuts to avoid being a flop.
