Tiger Woods, Jason Day and Dustin Johnson paired together for Farmers Insurance Open

Tiger Woods will finally play in his first official tournament at the Farmers Insurance Open this week. His attendance alone will spike the ratings, but if that wasn’t enough, the tournament paired him with Jason Day and Dustin Johnson for the first two rounds.

The No. 1 and No. 3 in the world paired with Tiger Woods. Is there anything better than that? No doubt golf lovers around the world will be tuning in to see this star studded group.

Jason Day said at a press conference that he hopes to be playing Woods in the later rounds as well.

We’re hoping for that too, Day. It would be really impressive if Woods were to make the cut in his first full field tournament back.

He had something to say about being paired with these two as well.

If you wanna push yourself, what better way to motivate yourself than to be playing with the top players in the world. Not to mention the natural competitiveness between friends.

Torrey Pines is the perfect venue for Tiger to return to, considering his track record there. Eight professional wins, including a major. If you don’t remember the 2008 putt that put Woods in a playoff to win the U.S. Open, you’re not a true fan. The roar of the crowd and the pure emotion emanating from Woods is one of those moments for the history books.

Jason Day has won at this venue before as well, and Dustin Johnson is fresh off of placing second in Abu Dhabi last week. It’s going to be a fun couple of days for the golfing world.
