MLS players nearly send comedian Leslie Jones to hospital

Leslie Jones, meet MLS. The comedian took to Twitter to declare her love of the MLS Playoffs Sunday, and a few select players.

After a summer of tweeting about the summer Olympics, Jones discovered the club soccer game one day via a Champions League replay between Barcelona and Manchester City. What caught her eye was not the amazing skills of Messi or David Silva that day, but the looks of the players themselves.

From there, the Seattle Sounders fans got in on the action and sent Leslie the cover photo of an issue from Ville this past year. Yes, this is a real cover that three starters last night for the Sounders posed for.

The Sounders fans and even the club itself have since invited Jones to a match.

However, Sunday she went into full playoff mode, tweeting all-day during the four match marathon on ESPN and FS1. She commented on her most attractive players, but also worked in some game commentary and analysis. Even the players in the stands were not omitted from the review.

She even showed off her announcing skills. Looks like she is ready for MLS Friday night broadcasts on Unimas, with a perfected goal celebration. Nico Loderio with the assist to Leslie.

After a thorough review of the play and characters that make up the MLS, it appears as though Tim Howard was the winner. The US Men’s National Team and Colorado Rapids keeper, failed to post a clean sheet on Sunday versus the Los Angeles Galaxy, but did impress Jones.
