Former TSM Support Lustboy Takes Next Career Step As CNB e-Sports Club Analyst

Endeared former Team SoloMid support Jiangsik “Lustboy” Ham has joined Brazilian organisation CNB e-Sports Club as the team’s new analyst. Lustboy will not relocate to Brazil to oversee the team’s progress in the CBLoL, instead working remotely from South Korea as he completes a sports science degree.

Lustboy’s decision to join CNB is the latest career progression towards the Korean’s ambition of becoming a full-time League of Legends coach. The ever-improving standard of competition in the CBLol will certainly provide Lustboy with an opportunity to earn his stripes. Following a series of investments from Brazilian national icon and sporting legend Ronaldo Nazário de Lima, many are hoping for CNB e-Sports Club to mount a serious title challenge in the summer.

After a disappointing split, CNB announced the immediate departure of Head Coach Hugo “Galfi” Augusto, replacing him with an entirely new technical team that will feature Brit Joseph “Strong” Edwards as Head Coach, with Lustboy as a supporting analyst. Notably, this is the first instance of foreign talent ever entering the Brazilian eSports scene for analytical and strategic positions.

Lustboy’s initial experience as a League of Legends coach arrived soon after his professional retirement, joining Korea’s Longzhu Incredible Miracle as the team’s strategic coach in December 2015, later shifting to Longzhu Gaming.

Of course, Lustboy is best known for his support playing days. Renowned initially for his time in Korea playing for CJ Entus Blaze, the Korean already had the WCG Grand Finals 2013 and IEM Season VII titles to his name before moving to North America. An instant fan favourite amongst NA LCS viewers, Lustboy lifted regional championships in both 2014 and 2015 with Team SoloMid, adding an IEM Katowice title to his career haul for good measure.

CNB’s former coach was quick to blame his lack of support staff as primary factor towards his failure with the team. In hiring Lustboy, despite his remote location, CNB have immediately addressed any prevailing concerns. All eyes will be on CNB e-Sports Club for the forthcoming split of CBLOL, Lustboy will hoping his influence can have a positive effect on the team’s results, as he looks to establish his reputation as a potential head coach of a major eSports organisation in the future.
