The tragedy of Brazilian club, Chapecoense, has rightly dominated football this week. One of the most tragic incidents to ever occur in the beautiful game has truly shocked all corners of the football world, and shaken all top players.

Amazing gestures have poured in, starting with Atletico Nacional asking the trophy to be awarded to Chapecoense. As well as this being a top gesture, it would also enable the Brazilian side to enter the equivalent of South America’s Champions League, great for both the football aspect, and financial reward for the club.

Other top gestures, have included South American clubs offering to loan players to Chapecoense for free and to be immune from relegation for three years; as football looks to help rebuild the club.

And now, the legends of the game are getting involved. Both Ronaldinho and Juan Roman Riquelme have reportedly offered their services to the club. The greats of the game boast 97 caps for Brazil and 51 for Argentina, and are regarded as genuine demigods over in South America.

Ronaldinho has supposedly been looking to blow the cobwebs off his boots over in the MLS, but if the Barcelona legend can offer his services to Chapecoense, it would truly be a great gesture from the forward.

It’s been suggested that Chapecoense will still play their final league match on 11th of December, and to have both Ronaldinho and Riquelme playing would be fantastic for the club.
