While the title may sound more like an uplifting movie about a journey to Liverpool’s Albert Dock after cruising through the Atlantic ocean, it’s time to take a look at the Premier League players from Trinidad and Tobago.¬†

Most famously, Dwight Yorke has flown the flag from the Caribbean highest, with his success at Manchester United, but he’s not been the only player from Trinidad and Tobago to light up the Premier League.

For a country with a population of just over 1.3million people, the Caribbean nation can be proud of the amount of Premier League players they’ve managed to produce. From world-class players like Dwight Yorke to solid players like Shaka Hislop, Stern John and Kenwyne Jones, Trinidad and Tobago is stacked with talented players.

It’s strange to think that the island is just a fraction of the size of London, and yet they are more than respected in the football world – especially from Yorke’s heroics with Manchester United, forming one of the most famous Premier League partnerships of all-time.

Hopefully it isn’t too long before the Trinidadian and Tobagonian’s can return to their glory days of Jones, John and Yorke – it’s easy to see why their nation were¬†once 29th in the FIFA rankings back in 2000.
