The La Liga players that deserve a ratings upgrade in FIFA 18

Ben Darvill

With the season now over in Spain the dust can settle on yet another triumph for Real Madrid and a near miss for Barcelona.

Away from the summit, Sevilla and Villarreal enjoyed outstanding seasons as they secured European football next campaign, while former heavyweight Valencia struggled to 12th and Europa League semi-finalists Celta Vigo saw their own season plummet as they focused on the competition.

While there was little change at the top with Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid occupying first, second and third respectively, there was no shortage of outstanding talent to be seen across the season. From big clubs to the small, and from goalkeepers to strikers, the creators of FIFA 18 will have a lot of work to do on upgrading La Liga’s players:

The season always ends with winners and losers and these players fall on the side of winners this season. Be it goals, big tackles or great saves, EA Sports will have a mini riot on their hands if they decide not to upgrade these star names.

At the top FIFA seem to be running out of room to improve the likes of Ronaldo and Messi, while the players closer to the bottom have a lot of room to move into. Perhaps one of the above may be the next Ronaldo or Messi? Or maybe not.
