Everton have clawed their way back into the limelight following Ronald Koeman’s move to the club last summer and the Toffees return to Europa League action next year, whilst they’ll eye a challenge for a top four spot.

Koeman’s debut season has lifted spirits at Goodison Park after two seasons outside of the top ten, which left the Toffees with plenty of ground to make up compared to Merseyside rivals Liverpool and the rest of the Premier League’s elite.

The takeover from Farhad Moshiri has given the club money to spend though but Everton may opt to stick to their roots and utilise an array of homegrown talent, as the Toffees boast an impressive all British XI that they could field.

The fact that all but three of the side above are under the age of 25 shows just how bright a future Everton have and the youngsters will take inspiration from the likes of Tom Davies, who forced his way into the side this season.

With a number of the young starlets making an impression on international duty already, they’ll be banging on Ronald Koeman’s door ahead of the forthcoming campaign and Everton could argue that they have the best academy in the country.

In an age where British players command a premium price on the transfer market, Everton will be licking their lips at the situation they have found themselves in at Goodison Park.
