Dustin Johnson made the hardest hole at Oakmont look easy

Dustin Johnson has won his first major championship, but it did not come without some drama.

DJ had to finish out his last few holes with the thought of possibly being penalized for his ball moving on the green. With that in mind, DJ came under massive pressure to stay ahead of the game to make sure that if the USGA did take a stroke away it wouldn’t matter.

And that’s exactly what he did. He played each shot as it’s own, not worrying about the decision by keeping his head in the game. When it came to the 18th hole, he not only performed but he amazed.

DJ bombed the ball off the tee down the fairway, leaving himself with a very nice approach shot towards the green. As he went to hit the ball initially, a phone went off causing him to step back and regroup to take the shot.

As he stepped up to the ball for the second time, he made history. DJ hit the shot of his career by sticking the ball a few inches to the hole.

He made the birdie putt to win the U.S. Open at Oakmont with a -5 on his scorecard. DJ made what is said to be one of the hardest holes in golf look like a walk in the park.

With all of the other golfers in at -1, being penalized (which he was) did not affect DJ from walking away with his first major! On top of that he carded the lowest winning score at Oakmont by 3 strokes.

No one is more deserving of this win than Dustin Johnson.
