Tiger Woods talks progression; “I’ve gotten stronger”

Tiger Woods attended Quicken Loans National media day, taking the time to be interviewed about his progression and recovery timeline.

While we were deceived into thinking Woods would have participated in the U.S. Open just because he signed up, he is still happy with the way things are headed.

“I’m still progressing, I’m still getting stronger. I’m excited about what has transpired so far.”

This tournament benefits his Tiger Woods Foundation and although he came out to support it, he is upset he can’t play competitively just yet.

“I wish I could be here to play, to get out here, get it going again,” Woods said at a Wednesday news conference. “I just miss playing. It’s not fun. It’s tough. This tournament is near and dear to my heart.”

Instead of playing in tournaments, Woods is riding bikes and playing with his children, using the time off to create a solid foundation at home. He still plays golf daily and his pain is going down, but that being said he is still sore and is not quite ready to get back out there.

Tiger Woods is being smart. He is letting himself get back into the shape HE wants before he gets back in the game. If he even thinks for a second he’s not ready then he will wait until he is sure because if his head isn’t in it then his body sure won’t be.

We may be waiting until 2017 to see the GOAT back in the field, but it’s worth the wait.
