WATCH: Hideki Matsuyama’s incredible shot to reach the 667-yard “Monster” in two

Hideki Matsuyama hit a 370-yard drive on the 16th, leaving himself with a 297-yard approach to one of the longest par fives in the world.

He has one of the most recognisable swings on the PGA Tour. He developed his swing’s unique pause by watching baseball as a child in Japan. This clip of him carrying an approach was probably a bit of showmanship, perhaps taking one hand off the club is the obvious finishing piece to his home run.

Hideki is an interesting bloke, he loves golf, literally doesn’t speak a word of English and played an entire tournament with a ferret in his shoes. Love this guy!
