This remarkable Arnold Palmer story will give you chills

Even after Arnold Palmer has passed, he is still making the world a better place.

Michigan student and golfer, Nick Carlson, was a semifinalist in the U.S. Amateur in August at Oakland Hills Country Club, a tournament that Palmer himself won. He sent the letter to congratulate him and wish him the best in his golfing endeavors.

“Utter shock, really,” Carlson told The Detroit News. “Like, I never expected it. It’s just something really cool and almost a priceless moment, in my opinion.”

Carlson tweeted out the letter, which now hangs framed in his college dorm.

“Keep up the good playing. I wish you the very best in whatever pursuit you choose to follow in the future.”

To get a letter like this after The King’s passing is truly remarkable, and something I’m sure Nick Carlson will never forget. I hope at age 87, we are all as kind and thoughtful as the legend himself.

Arnie’s Army lives on.
