Justin Thomas is the first player NOT named Tiger Woods to do this..

Justin Thomas just won his second consecutive tournament in Hawaii and has won 3 tournaments in his last 5 starts. He is the first golfer to do this since Tiger Woods dominated the field. JT should definitely be happy about that one.

Actually he should be pretty pumped about all of the stats he’s gained over these past few weeks. He’s broken record after record and it’s just the start of the season.

As the season opening major looms closer, Justin Thomas’s chances of winning keep looking better. He’s climbed from No. 22 to No. 8th in the world in just five starts, has claimed the #1 spot in the FedExCup ranking, and his Master’s odds have gone from 40-to-1 to 25-to-1 (according to Las Vegas).

“I’m a lot more confident going into it this year. I understand it’s a couple of months away and who knows where my game will be at but just mentally and me as a person and a golfer, I’m excited for the rest of the year.”

Even when the thought of ‘no one has given up a 7 stroke lead before’ were leaked into his mind, he kept his cool. He turned his 5 stroke lead back to 7 strokes by the end of it and ended with a low score of -27.

Thomas is on fire and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon.
