Cody Gribble has the best reaction after hitting a very relatable shot

This is definitely one of the busiest weeks in the golf, it’s kind of hard to keep up with who is where. We’ve got the Scottish Open, the John Deere Classic, the Women’s U.S. Open, the Seniors PLAYERS Championship and the ACC Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The Scottish Open and the John Deere Classic are full of professionals who are hoping to make an impressive stand before the Open Championship next week. One of those golfers, Cody Gribble, had more of an embarrassing moment than impressive, but it was his reaction after that many pros could learn from.

Sometimes you just have to laugh it off.

He topped his shot and then laughed about it. You don’t see this very often on Tour, but when you do, it’s refreshing to see a more natural reaction, rather than the explosive anger that many pros and amateurs have. Club smashing and throwing, along with temper tantrums, are more common than a laugh in this situation.

He ended up making par, showing his energy saved by laughing instead of getting upset was well worth it. This is also the same guy who poked an alligator like it was no big deal, so nonchalance is just in his blood.

Across the pond at the Scottish Open, Padraig Harrington saved par with this 90ft putt (although it was from off the green, sooooo):

Rickie Fowler is also on European soil, showing that his stamina has not faded, even after a fun July 4th weekend with friends. He shot a first round 67, currently trailing the leader by two.

On the more controversial side of golf, the Women’s U.S. Open has been overshadowed by the fact that the tournament is taking place at a Trump course. Plus the fact that the POTUS might even show up, which he has done before (before he was President).

Whether he does or doesn’t end up attending, the women are off to a great start, with stars like Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, and Brooke Henderson carding in the negatives. Shanshan Feng has made it on top of the leaderboard with a -6 and carding a breezy 66.

Feng always shows up to the course in style, this time sporting a cow inspired ensemble. This is what makes her one of the most liked LPGA players. Taking a note out of John Daly’s book. Maybe we’ll see her in something wild on Sunday when she wins her second Major (maybe).

Golf is looking pretty darn good this week. Although there are still some questions to be answered, like will Rory McIlroy make the cut at the Scottish Open after carding an opening 74? Will Trump show up at Bedminster? Only time will tell!
