Paulie Malignaggi looks to settle Conor McGregor feud in the ring

Floyd Mayweather is probably licking his lips with media attention being diverted away from himself and onto Conor McGregor, following the Notorious’ sparring battles with Paulie Malignaggi.

McGregor’s continual disputes with Malignaggi have embarrassed the Irishman’s camp and it’s got to the point where UFC President, Dana White, had to intervene to defend McGregor by releasing footage of the UFC star flooring the boxer in a sparring session.

McGregor fans were perhaps left worried after Malignaggi said he heard the Irishman “whimper” during sparring, and now the American has called out Notorious by challenging the Irishman to a fight on St Patrick’s day next year:

“It’s picked up a ton of momentum, the bad blood is there so let’s fight. We’ll need to see how he looks against Mayweather. If he looks dog s–t, no one will want to see us fight.

As long as he doesn’t get the living s–t beaten out of him, I think the demand is there to make the fight.”

Malignaggi was so appalled with how the McGregor camp conducted sessions and the way the team ran social media channels that the American pulled out of the McGregor team, as well as claiming that the Irishman housed Malignaggi in accommodation which could only compare to a “crack house”:

“I mean, yeah, it works. But it’s not really what you expect. … It reminded me of some kind of crack house that had been barely renovated a little bit.”

There is clearly still something that needs to be resolved between the two, and a fight in front of a crowd rather than behind closed doors could just put all these issues to bed.
