Nickmerc’s story is one of intense passion and perseverance. A trailblazer who had his eyes on playing games professionally before it was cool, he had to hustle and grind to create a path that didn’t exist yet.
Staying up all night to practice in high school, taking Greyhounds from Detroit to Dallas to compete, sleeping in bathtubs, he let nothing stop his dreams; even parents who couldn’t understand why he played so obsessively, and who were afraid that what he was doing didn’t make any sense.
